Documentation of a Living Family Portrait
Ramis Barquet Gallery, Sept 09 – Oct 02, 2010
“Living Family Portrait” is a seventy hour performance in which the family exists as a tableau vivant in the gallery space: five strangers forming, holding and breaking a live family portrait pose for a non-existent camera. The photographic instant has been extended; the viewer replaces the absent camera and witnesses the family pose break down in real time.
